Taman Soekasada Ujung

Istana Air Ujung(Ujung Water Palace), which local people called Taman Soekasada Ujung, built in 1919. However, the inauguration of the complex of water palace was conducted in 1912.
Water palace constructed by the last king of Karangasem, I Gusti Bagus Jelantik, who reigned in Karangasem between 1909 and 1945.
Park End was built to welcome and serve important guests and Kings from neighboring countries, as well as a place for the king and royal family.
Taman Soekasada Ujung has been announced as a cultural tourist attraction since regarded as one of the cultural heritage that exist in Karangasem regency.
Taman Soekasada Ujung Complex is a combination of Balinese and European architectures. There are three large ponds and extensive in this area. In the middle of the main pool, there is a building that connects the sides of the pond with two bridges.
At the highest complex, we will find the statue "warak" (rhinoceros). Below is a statue of a bull Wark. From this high place we can see an amazing ocean view with a verdant forest, the beauty of Mount Agung combined circuitry of the green rice fields.
Taman Ujung grandeur had been damaged due to the eruption of Mount Agung in 1963 and exacerbated by the earthquake in 1979. However,attempts have been made to bring back the glory of complex This water palace with reconstructing. although not as it once was, but the splendor seen until now.

Taman Soekasada Ujung is located in Tumbi, Karangasem district, approximately 85 km from Ngurah Rai Airport or 5 miles from Amlapura.
