Tirta Gangga



Tirtagangga built in 1948 by King of Karangasem, Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem. This water park is constructed in a very unique architectural style of Bali and China.
Tirtagangga Ababi located in the village, Abang District, about 83 km from Denpasar and 6 km from Amlapura to the north.
Facilities available in this area such as small hotels, small restaurants, and shops and extensive parking area.
Tirtagangga located on 1.2 acres area consisting of three complexes. The first compound that is at the bottom we find two teratati pool and fountain. The second complex is the central part of which can be found swimming pools, while, on the third part, namely the third complex, we can find the resting place of the king.
Before construction Tirtagangga, there are large springs in this area; so that local people called this area "embukan" which means spring.
The spring then functioned to meet the needs of the population will be water and also as a "purification" of the Gods. To this end, the spring was considered holy and sacred.
